Connect your AI client
This page shows how to add Klastro to your AI assistant. Every client uses the same address and the same sign-in.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”-
A Klastro account that belongs to at least one organization. Without one, the consent screen shows No organization and asks you to join or create an organization first.
-
An MCP client that supports remote servers over HTTP with OAuth sign-in.
-
The server address:
https://mcp.klastro.io/mcp
To understand what the assistant can do and what you are approving, read Klastro and AI assistants first.
Add Klastro to your client
Section titled “Add Klastro to your client”-
In a terminal, run:
Fenêtre de terminal claude mcp add --transport http klastro https://mcp.klastro.io/mcpBy default the server is available in the current project only. Add
--scope userto make it available in every project. -
Start Claude Code and run the
/mcpcommand. -
Select klastro and choose to authenticate. Your browser opens on the Klastro sign-in page.
-
Sign in, then approve the connection on the consent screen (see Approve the connection below).
Custom connectors are set up from your Claude account and work in both claude.ai and Claude Desktop.
-
Open Customize > Connectors.
-
Select + Add, then Add custom connector.
-
Enter a name, for example
Klastro, and the URLhttps://mcp.klastro.io/mcp, then select Continue. -
Keep the detected sign-in settings and finish with Add.
-
Connect the connector. Your browser opens on the Klastro sign-in page: sign in and approve the connection.
-
In a conversation, select + at the lower left, then Connectors, and make sure Klastro is switched on.
-
Open
~/.cursor/mcp.jsonto make Klastro available in every project, or create.cursor/mcp.jsonat the root of a project. -
Add Klastro under
mcpServers:{"mcpServers": {"klastro": {"url": "https://mcp.klastro.io/mcp"}}} -
Save the file. When Cursor connects to the server, it asks you to sign in: your browser opens on the Klastro sign-in page.
-
Sign in and approve the connection.
-
Create
.vscode/mcp.jsonin your workspace, or run the MCP: Open User Configuration command to make Klastro available everywhere. -
Add Klastro under
servers:{"servers": {"klastro": {"type": "http","url": "https://mcp.klastro.io/mcp"}}}You can also run the MCP: Add Server command, choose HTTP and enter the URL.
-
Start the server. VS Code asks you to allow it to sign in; your browser opens on the Klastro sign-in page.
-
Sign in and approve the connection. The Klastro tools then appear in Copilot Chat’s agent mode.
-
Add Klastro to
~/.codex/config.toml:[mcp_servers.klastro]url = "https://mcp.klastro.io/mcp" -
Run:
Fenêtre de terminal codex mcp login klastro -
Sign in in the browser window that opens and approve the connection.
Any client that implements the MCP Streamable HTTP transport and its OAuth sign-in can connect:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Transport | Streamable HTTP (often called “HTTP” or “remote”) |
| URL | https://mcp.klastro.io/mcp |
| Authentication | OAuth 2.1. The client discovers the sign-in server and registers itself automatically: you do not need a client ID or an API key. |
Point the client at the URL and start it. It should open your browser on the Klastro sign-in page; sign in and approve the connection. If your client shows a code instead and asks you to open a link, open it, enter the code on the Connect a device page and select Continue. When Device connected appears, return to your client.
Approve the connection
Section titled “Approve the connection”After you sign in, Klastro shows a consent screen titled with the application’s name, for example “Claude Code wants to access your Klastro account”.
-
Under Organization, choose the organization the assistant will work in. It acts only in this one.
-
Under Permissions, tick what you allow:
- Read to look at scenarios, sessions, assessments and reports;
- Write to start and stop labs, edit Studio drafts and submit attempts;
- Administration only if you are an organization admin and need it. It is never ticked by default.
-
Select Allow.
The page shows Returning to the application… and hands you back to your assistant. Ask it something simple, such as “List the Klastro scenarios I can start”, to check the connection.
Revoke a connection
Section titled “Revoke a connection”Open your Profile page in app.klastro.io. Under Connected applications, select Revoke next to the application, then confirm. It loses access immediately.
If the connection fails
Section titled “If the connection fails”| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| The consent screen shows No organization. | Join or create an organization in app.klastro.io, then connect again. |
| Sign-in did not complete | Start the sign-in again from your application. |
| Select at least one permission. | Tick Read, Write or both before selecting Allow. |
| The assistant says an action is not allowed for the token. | You approved Read only. Revoke the application from your Profile and connect again with Write. |
| The assistant cannot see a scenario, assessment or report you can see in the app. | It is probably connected to another organization. Check the organization listed under Connected applications on your Profile. |
| Requests are refused after a burst of activity. | You reached the limit of 120 requests a minute. Wait a moment and try again. |
If the problem persists, open a support ticket with the category Account & access.
